hey friends, i have just recently purchased a chacha.On the first day i am experiencing keyboard type malfunctioning, whenever i press 'b' it types it 'bg' and when i press 't' it types 'ti' etc... Please someone help me out to get rid of it.

That is a really strange problem. Do this...try downloading a 3rd party keyboard from the marketplace, and tell me if the problem persists there.

What exactly do u mean it didn't work? Did the other keyboard you downloaded do the same thing?

yes..did the same thing, but how does 3rd party keyboard work on cha cha as it has its own qwerty board..i am not actually getting this, even though i tried but failed

3rd party keyboard just means another keyboard app from the market. Like this one for example:

Try installing that and enabling it in your input settings, and see if it does the same thing.

i think it is not the problem with ur phone.only thing is search btn+g or s or b are for shortcuts,so just try press search btn and see if it work.
