Reboot ICS 4.03

Reboot ICS 4.03
created on Mar 11, 2012 5:28:52 PM
New to this android system and not sure where this should be posted. I have a new (1 week) chinese U9gt2 tablet that was working fine and I was learning how to use. Then suddenly it no longer completely loads. It does the following:

device shows little green android man then
device shows android ice cream sandwich then goes no further

NOTE: I have done nothing irregular ie as attempt to root, etc.

Think what I'm looking for is something similar to windows reboot in safemode or emergency reboot

thanks in advance

You need to ensure that you have cleared cache. Go into Dev mode and clear the cache.. This should help.

Hmm..not familiar with that device. And just for clarification, you didnt attempt to root or manually update the device correct?

No I did neither. I am quite good with my pc but a true novice with android so was apprehensive about doing anything to the device.

Is there not something like a "safe mode reboot". I have tried and tried and it will not go past the ICS screen.,. WHen it did work, if I remember correctly, it would go to page that showed time, date battery status and I had to unlock that screen to proceed,
