Bluetooth low energy support in Android SDK

I am investigating Bluetooth Low energy technology on Android platform for my project. Towards this, I would like to know whether there are plans to provide native Bluetooth low energy support in Android SDK. Is anybody working on the same? If yes, when will it be available?

I came across a link http://code.google.com/p/broadcom-ble/ which talks about Open Bluetooth Low Energy SDK from Broadcom for Android. I would like to know whether this stack is complete or under development? If it is under development when is it planned to be completed?

Any developers are that can help out with this question?
