download app to PC

I saw "somewhere" that this was possible here.
How do I do that?

You want to download the app and use it on a PC, or simply get an apk file moved to your PC?

no - I just want to download it to pc - and then afterwards transfer it to my phone

Download the APK file onto your computer, save it somewhere. Then connect your phone with the USB cable, choose the storage option.

Copy the APK file onto the phone, disconnect USB.

Open a file browser on the phone, find the APK file, install it.

Note - Astro is a free file browser.
Note - Installing apps from unknown sources may need enabling under /settings/applications/

Alternatively if your on your PC and plan to use the official android play store go to play.google.com and you can sign into your Google account and browse through all the apps and provided you have Internet connection on both PC and phone I.E Wifi the applications will automatically be sent and download onto your phone
