I bought a chinese pc tablet indubai and when I download apps some will come back as "sorry cannot download ap as it is incompatible with your device" I have andriod version 4.0. any help appreciated.this does not apply to all apps just some

hi and many thanks for coming back. the make is called an x touch and the model number is DFP 7005 and the android version is 4.0.3 the kernel version is shen@compiler#1the build is DFP 7005-0.5.2-r167-20120320 .I can access the play store but find that apps such as eurosport and rte are not there. when I go into same playstore on my mobile I candownload these . when I go onto website of app iwant and try to download from there itsays unknown device and that it is not compatible with that device. I can howver download other apps.any help appreciated eric

Hi biccus,

some Apps have certain settings that have to be verified by the developer. Unfortunately, if he doesn´t set them right your device will not be supported and the Play Store refuses to let you find them, because they are not compatible.

in effect is the problem because ihave version 4.0.3 android? if so will these apps upgrade to be compatible with this version? I thought I would get this tablet because it was cheap but has latest androidsystem?

Every now and then I get messages that an app isn't compatible with Android 4.0, but not often. It can happen though, as developers need time porting their apps over to work on newer versions of android. Have you tried sending the dev an email to ask if ICS support is there or coming soon?
