In order to just rip my dvd's to my IMAC without having to use disks, please clarify what the settings should be set at in Handbrake....ie.,should i chose the mp4 format or the mkv format and which Toggle presets should I use... normal or high Profile? I tried normal profile with both the mp4 format as well as the mkv format. After the long process of encoding was finished in each instance when I tried to open the file to watch the movie on my computer, I received error messages respectively that Quick Time Player could not open files in the "data" format( using the mp4 format) and could not open files in the "document" format (using the mkv format). Please specify how the settings should be set to be successful. Thank you
