I'm building an Android application for our school project and it will be an E-Menu for a restaurant. I made a simple socket chat between the PC and the Android Tablet over Wi-Fi. I used VB6 as a sample server for the PC but I'm still confused on what will be the ideal front-end for the PC server. I could use VB.NET/C#/Java or I was thinking also if I should just use PHP and an HTTP server since I need to transfer some XML and Images from PC to Tablet although I could also do it in sockets but yeah, I'm still a little bit confused on how would I set up the server.
