speech to text app

I need an app that can convert speech to text without being connected to the internet. I have a Samsung Galaxy 5.0 model YP-G70 firmware version 2.3.5, kernel version 2.6.35.7-G70UEKI8-CL566269 Build GINGERBREAD.UEKI8.

I downloaded ListNote for free and the app works well with internet connection, but when I cannot get on the internet, the app won't work.
Is there an android compatible app that works w/o being online?

I don't know of any speech-to-text app that works offline except for the stock Voice app in Android Jelly Bean.

Thanks, Steven. I am trying to find an app because my Dad recently went deaf. If I can find a device that can convert speech to text, my Mom and others would not have to write notes to him. Learning sign language at his age is not going to be easy. They are 'unconnected' technology wise and are on a fixed income. Therefore, the need for a device with an app that does not require a network of any kind. Very frustrating journey. I will look into Android Jelly Bean. I appreciate your input.

Well there are many applications that convert voice in to text. Applications like Dragon Dictation and Speech Notes are available for free and works well for your requirement. These are the best applications that convert the speech into the text.Hope it would works well for you.

I use “Sonalight Text by Voice” and “ ShoutOUT – Speech-to-Text” free app in my android smart phone.
