I have just got an original HTC desire and want to upgrade Android. It is currently on 2.2, and I would like to take it up to 2.3 or 3.0 (which I believe is as far as it will go. At this stage, I have got the oxygen zip of 2.3 and downloaded ROM manager on the phone. Hower to go any further I first need to root my phone.
1) does anyone know where I can find any instructions to do this?
2) does anyone have any experience of running 2.3 or 3 on the original desire? Do they work and are they worth upgrading to on this phone?
