Huawei Honor — Encryption does not work

After having upgraded to android 4.0, I am not able to encrypt the phone. Does anybody know how to solve that?

Doesn't Huawei run a stock version of Android? If so, you should be able to go to Settings --> Security --> choose your encryption method.

Thanks for your answer. I don’t know if it is a stock version of Android, but it is not possible to select encryption method at Settings --> Security. When I start the encryption proces, a screen is shown with the android robot, but nothing happens - even if I leave the phone for many hours...
