We weren't sure where to post this, but since it's kind of like a job offer in that you can win money, we'll post it in this forum.
We're Slimstown Studios, a mobile gaming startup located in Redwood City, California and founded by game industry veterans. We're working on getting our first games out, and in the meantime we're putting on a hackathon to get to know some Bay Area developers. And, of course, give out lots of prizes We wanted to invite any forum members who live here in the Bay Area to our hackathon (snjhackathon.eventbrite.com). More info is below. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, let us know in this thread or via a PM.
Slimstown Studios and Jibe Mobile are hosting a hackathon Friday 11/30 through Sunday 12/2 in Mountain View and we're giving away over $10,000 in cash, prizes, free QA, and publishing deals. We're looking to see not just who can make the best game, but also who can put Jibe's technology to the best use. You'll get the chance to meet other indie developers, form teams and find potential long-term teammates, and get some practice pitching your game to judges at the end of the hackathon. You'll also get to enjoy some adult and all-ages beverages and eat food from one of the Bay Area's best food trucks. The event is open to both iOS and Android developers, artists, people with a great idea, and lone wolves who can do everything on their own. Sign up now at (snjhackathon.eventbrite.com).
