If you downloaded the game from the Androidpit app store, please redownload it. We had accidentally uploaded a newer version that wasn't compatible with Android. Thank you.
Part 3: Dodge the Dots is the first game to be released of the four part "Dots Saga". The main characters, hero Dodgy, and villain Dotman, are introduced in this game. After tailing Dotman's dots to Dotman's secret headquarters, Dodgy is captured and thrown into Dotman's gauntlet. Here Dodgy must survive and escape Dotman's wrath.
Dodge has a simple game concept, with simple designs, but can get incredibly challenging, addictive and frustrating. There are 4 difficulties: Easy, Intermediate, Expert and Insane, with Insane being unlocked after Expert difficulty has been completed. Currently, there are 10 levels with plans to release more soon. Dodge also uses a completely random algorithm, allowing all users to use the best of their abilities to complete the game. There are no patterns, giving all players an even opportunity.
There are 4 objectives to Dodge. First is a) get as many points as possible. Users do this by staying as close to the cannons as possible, or over the red line. The next objective is b) Dodge the Dots. For the first 2 levels, a maximum of 3 lives are given. Later levels offer upwards of a maximum 6 lives. Each level adds a new type of dot for the user to dodge for a total of 10 dot types. On top of new dots being introduced each level, there are multiple helpful items that will be unlocked as the user progresses. The first 2 levels only have Bombs and Health Packs. Later levels include Shields, Invisipads, Shake-Offs, Seismic, Smash and Time-Slow. The third objective, to shake things up even more, is c) a penalty to the users score for each item used in-game. Immediately upon using an item, a small amount of points is deducted from the users current score in-game. Each item has a massive score bonus attached to it for not being used, and is awarded at the end of each level. These bonuses can be monitored under the "Bonus" button on the "Level Complete" page. The final objective d) is to get 3 "Gold Dots". This is the same system used for level completion on many games already available. The most notable being Angry Birds "Star" system.
Simply put, these are the objectives: 1. Get points. 2. Dodge dots. 3. Don't use items. 4. Get 3 stars.
*Side note: There are 2 things that we have left out of the tutorial in-game. If a user sits in one place too long, a "homing" dot will chase them away from that spot, the dot exploding 3 seconds after it has begun its chase. The second is that, for every five seconds the user does not receive damage, they are awarded a set amount of points, based on which difficulty was chosen. This can be seen in-game above Dodgy.
Users can register a profile anytime they choose from the main menu of the game under the "Leaderboards" tab. Once registered, statistics from the users gameplay are recorded in our database and can be compared to other users globally. All smartphone markets use the same database, so Android, iTunes and Amazon all are tracked together. Upon reaching certain milestones (reaching certain download amounts) we will begin competitions through our Facebook page giving users chances to win prizes. Those milestones are yet to be determined. We want to create a thoroughly entertaining user experience for all ages.
