i think there is no any theory how to promote the app. but you can try to search "android app marketing"

Without properly promotion, it runs the risk of being buried in the Google Play Store like so many others

You may get a nice bit of visibility as a new app. , but it is hard to keep the downloads going. If your app is lucky enough to have a good initial following I suggest you enlist the communities support early on. Social networking and media seem to be the most effective free means.

I guess you get them from the android market? In which case, just log into the same account you used on your old phone. Otherwise there is no way. Just because you put an app onto an SD Card, doesn't mean it is in there for another phone to use, that promotes piracy.

Nope, it can be done easily! Just go to settings, applications, manage applications, click on them all and select (if it says move to sd card, leave it be....) move to phone. Be warned, all your game/app/personal details WON'T be saved, they are all stored on the sd card. So it will be like using a fresh app...
And your contacts are stored in the phone or sim.
No need to worry. Considering they are all on your google contacts account, you won't lose any

I think there is no proper way to promote Android Apps, but there is some social networking sites like facebook, twitter, you can promote through these sires or share them.
