Having dropped my Galaxy s2 down the loo (it was running on Gingerbread) I bought a new one, which happens to be preloaded with ICS. The problem is, it cannot initiate Swype - it's there in the Apps but when I turn it on, the keyboard won't open in any text field so I have to revert to samsung IME. I only got the new phone today and am so disappointed that my favourite feature seems to be non-operational. When I hold down in the text field no "Input Method" appears (which seems to be the favoured fix for most people) and when I change to Swype through the wee keyboard symbol at the top of the screen, or through Settings, the whole text capability freezes. Thoughts, please?
