Samsung Galaxy 3 — GS3 updated today - now vibrates on every notification!

SO my Samsung Galaxy S3 updated its software today and now it vibrates on every notification in addition to making my selected sound. Yes, the option for "Sound & Vibration" is unchecked. No other goofy mode from the top menu (driving, etc.) is selected. Can anyone help me with this?

Also, while we are at it, every time I get a gmail, I get a little "bicycle bell" ring noise notification that I cannot seem to find or disable ANYWHERE from any option on any menu. If you know how to fix that, I would also be obliged.
