T-mobile Optimus L9.... Can it be rooted?

After having looked at every thread in this forum and not seeing a single one for the L9 I am now asking.... I am new to this so if it can be done please explain "slowly" so that my pea brain might understand it cause I have tried and been unsuccessful :(:(:(:angry::angry::angry: that is the point i am at now...... PLEASE HELP ME!!

What I am saying is..... Can the T-mobile Optimus L9 android version 4.0.4 software version P76910g be rooted and if so can you please walk me through the steps to do so...

T-Mobile Optimus L9 will have a software update to Android version 4.0.4/ Software P76910g via Over The Air (OTA), Once you install the upgrade(from version P76910e to P76910g), you lose the root.

Ok the update auto applied before I even attempted to root so what you are saying is (and correct me if i am wrong) currently there is no way to root software version P76910g....
