"Active.com’s Couch-to-5K is one of my favorite couch-to-5K apps. With its customizable features, interactivity, and well-rounded interface, I may actually stay off the couch this time."
—148Apps, October 2011
"I knew as soon as I decided to start the Couch-to-5K program that I would need something to keep me accountable—not just to showing up for my training, but to actually doing it properly. Of course there’s an app for that."
—CalorieLab, April 2012
"If you have been struggling to get your buns off the couch and somewhat in shape before the summer hits, training for a 5K is not a bad way to start. If you are looking for a program to help get you there, then the “Couch-to-5K” running plan by CoolRunning is probably your best bet if you haven’t done an ounce of athletic activity for a number of years."

Great app! Definitely worth the money and more! I tried the Couch to 5K program before, but always got sidetracked by trying to keep track of time and the intervals. With this, i can just put my music on and a voice tells me when to run and when to walk! Highly recommend for anyone looking to become more active

Mediocre app - until it uninstalls after 9 weeks First off, you should know that the app will uninstall itself after the 9 week period, whether you are done with the program or not. I thought that was pretty cheap, when I buy an app I expect to have that app as long as I want it. This app did the basic thing I needed - keeping track of the time intervals - but everything else about it is pretty annoying. Logging workouts to the website required entering userID and pwd everytime, or using FB. The data on pace includes both the warmup/cooldown, so not useful for your actual running pace. GPS is limited to a map only, there is a much better GPS functionality in other apps. The cues for the longer time intervals are basic, just the halfway point. There is no "autopause" function that can tell when you're stopped for whatever reason. There is no way to move to later workouts, you have to "complete" each workout to get to the next one (fortunately, the app is not smart enough to know if you're actually moving, so...) This comes in handy if you accidentally hit the "quit" button while fumbling for your phone at the end of a workout and delete it. For $2, I guess it's okay, just know that it uninstalls at 9 weeks.

Great Program, Poor Design It's a shame that the app is designed so poorly, because I love the program and for the first time ever, I'm running consistently. Sync between my phone and website is shoddy; makes you sign in every run (versus keeping you signed in); and when I got a new phone, lost all the info for my previous runs, making me have to enter them manually. I also wish it could differentiate my walking pace from my running pace so I know how fast I'm actually going.
