This application offer all in one protection without monthly fees.
Many commands are available, you just have to send them to your phone by SMS.

Many settings are available for each command:
- set minimun accuracy for GPS position in order to prevent too much battery usage when using this command
- activate automatically GPS (Read notes bellow)
- hide received SMS with command
- received last position when battery is low
- uninstallation protection
- application reset protection

The best I've found I tried a slew of this type of app, and settled on this one. I like that it can automatically enable GPS on my Photon, and it's smart enough to turn GPS back off immediately as soon as it gets a position. That saves battery, and helps avoid arousing suspicion (if someone has possession of your phone). I do wish it had an interface within it so I could issue commands to my phone that way (from a secondary phone with WhereDroid installed, of course), rather than having to remember SMS commands. Missing Droid has such an interface (it's limited, but it's still a nice feature). WatchDroid does send a list of commands if a keyword is sent with no command, but (1) You still need to remember to postfix the keyword with a colon (:), even to get the list of commands returned, and (2) The command list doesn't fully appear when I use the ZipWhip web site (I get a truncated list of commands, an indicator that I'm looking at message 1 of 2, but no message 2). Regarding ZipWhip: Another nice thing about WhereDroid is that it works with web-based SMS services like that one. The other apps of this type that I tested with do not support them, so you'll need a secondary phone to issue commands from.

Kills Where's My Droid A must have, best of its kind. Shame this hasn't taken off, if only everyone knew what they were missing. But as with others, I really miss the old icon

Can't use unless you have another cell Probably a great program but if you don't own 2 cell phones it won't work, doesn't accept commands from email addresses sent to text

Used to be better You can simply uninstall it without being asked for a password. Bring back the old icon and fake system info.

Protect Againt Reset... Followed instructions in moving the 2 files, but after reboot Watchdroid is gone from app drawer.

Sony Xperia Mini (not the X10) so far so good, except it won't activate GPS if it's disabled, txt sent as myprivatekeyword:gps and reply read "No position; check GPS or network position in your system settings"

Must Have - Amazing app! Must have for everyone! Works great on NS & Cptv8. Worth every cent. Much better than where's my droid, tracks sim change.
