Genuinely brilliant Such a small thing but it does exactly what it claims. Have been wanting something like this for months.

Wish it did shutdown sounds too As noted in the app description it does not silence shutdown sounds. It works great for startup sounds but I have resorted to manually silencing the phone before shutdown which takes care of both shutdown and startup sounds. I just have to remember to un-silence it when I turn the phone back on. That is one thing to note... regardless of what state my phone was in before shutting down this app would re-enable sounds on startup. Nothing major, just something to be aware of (it got me in trouble at Church one day...) Galaxy S ii on T-Mobile, not rooted.

Mothr fffing works It works on mothr fffing metro lg esteem.. good fffing program.. its works good to reboot while in chuch... silently.. sweet
