The best thing Codemonkeys has done. This app is fantastic. It monitors app permissions so you don't have to. The language is also much clearer than the permissions listed in the play store. It tells you exactly what an app can and can't get away with. I highly recommend this app.

Excellent interface, finds the problem FAST I kept receiving ads in my notification bar on my tablet and although I suspected it was for one of the free games that my daughter plays, I didn't know which one. Rather than guess or go through the process of removing them one at a time and waiting to see if that fixed the problem, I was able to use to use this app to find and remove the offending cupcake-making app. It was really easy. After opening and scanning my apps the first time I went under Show Concerns > Push Notifications (apps the can display ads in the notification bar), selected the app and then went to the conveniently located manage app button. Ad Detector also allows you to look at apps either individually, sorted alphabetically or by concern, or filtered at the highest level by concern with additional detail regarding the Ad Networks used as well as the Social SDKs associated with each app. All in all, this is a great, powerful little tool that does just what it says it will do.

Perfect Does what it says on the can. Found a few aps that like to push notifications, they are now removed. I love the concern levels.
