...here you see a single note, 'The Matrix', with two references to it. Hence, if you modified one, the other would immediately reflect that change, something not possible in a standard outliner.
NoteLynX has 3 kinds of note:-
1. Parent (red up-arrow icon)
2. Friend/Cross Reference (yellow right-arrow icon)
3. Child (green down-arrow icon)

Terrific... User for a while now. Of the outliner apps i've tried so far, this is my favourite. Just does what it says with a minimum of fuss. Recommended.

Much better Todo lists work well and its neat how you can so easily switch reading modes. Not really had time to try out all the style sheet stuff yet but the edit toolbar for me is a winner :-)

Pro Version Worth It! Fantastic app and with the beautiful UI and font control and customization this app is not only a workhorse but some very nice eye candy as well! With a couple add features this app may replace 2-3 other daily apps and become my number 1 used app period!

nice works well. needed something reliable and able to handle large projects... had no problems with this app unlike some i've tried! good idea allowing the outline to scroll left and right when the tree is expanded. i have sent several feature requests to developer who is very responsive and helpful.

Horrible I am really doubting the other reviews. The mechanics are there BUT there is no way to print, export or access your outline from any other devise. They give a XML export that I couldn't get to pull in to any other format, so I just wasted hours typing notes into something I can't access.

Awesome! Suuuuuperb! A fav for a while now! Really wish the markup 'text' were out of the picture tho (ie: the effect is in place as your typing ala say Evernote or Polaris) .

Amazing Really great app, focused on a specific task which it does amazingly well. Very clean and professional looking too. I love the multiple parent and friend thing for notes and the addition of the "Done" option. A "Task list" view option with checkboxes would be great. Please continue carefully adding features while keeping this as beautifully simplistic as it is. I used the free version and was going to donate when this came along. Motorola Razr
