Useless Needs wifi; very few of my birding destinations have wifi. Uploading pics and songs I might as well use a website like xenocanto. Field guides should be usable in the field. Waste of money, crashes on every start at least once on an Asus transformer, all the functionality of Wikipedia. Who's birding next to a wifi router?

Can't register email in Canada Great app on SG Note. But using list requires registration and I get 'bad email format' error from form! And no help after 1 week from audubon. US only?

Good content but force closes a lot. I really want to like this app. Unfortunately, it force closes about every other time I open it. That is really frustrating if I have eyes on a bird and need to know something immediately. It also takes a while to load when I start it up for the first time, but it is a large app and that is understandable. I am using a Samsung Infuse 4G.

Wonderful app for people interested in birds I have been feeding backyard birds for years and have just started getting into birding. This app is fabulous! It is essentially an entire North America bird reference book, including multiple full color photographs of each bird and multiple bird sound samples for each bird. The photos are truly lovely, and it does have search options to help you narrow down the bird you are looking for, including by time of year, colors of bird, region, etc. It works well on the Samsung Galaxy S3 though occassionally on initial load it closes itself and I have to reopen it. It downloads quite a bit of info when you first use it, so be sure you are on a wifi network. Gorgeous app and well worth the $4.99. It was worth upgrading at long last to a smart phone just to get this app at my fingertips! Highly recommend!

Bird App Worth the struggle after waiting them out for two weeks I finally got the download installed that I had purchased for NeXus 7 . App works very nicely. I'll need to learn how to up load pictures. I like the Life list part and the maps too. I have to get their mushroom and fungi when I get some more money.
