Description

A simple app I wrote to experiment with GPS information. Just shows you some basic, not-terribly-useful information from the GPS chip.

You probably don't need to download this.

What is needed is a crowd sourced ionosphere map.GPSs need to know the ionosphere density, and sometime it can be accessed. Just an idea.

The application has access to the following:

Your location

coarse (network-based) location

Access coarse location sources such as the cellular network database to determine an approximate phone location, where available. Malicious applications can use this to determine approximately where you are.

fine (GPS) location

Access fine location sources such as the Global Positioning System on the phone, where available. Malicious applications can use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

access extra location provider commands

Access extra location provider commands. Malicious applications could use this to interfere with the operation of the GPS or other location sources.

mock location sources for testing

Create mock location sources for testing. Malicious applications can use this to override the location and/or status returned by real location sources such as GPS or Network providers.

Network communication

full Internet access

Allows an application to create network sockets.
