Description
For users of the latest Android version (4.0 ICS) this application requires root.Always looking what application shortcuts to place on your homescreen? Never sure you add shortcuts for applications that you really use the most? Stop looking!
Top Shortcuts automatically creates home screen shortcuts based on application startup statistics. This way it allows you to only get the shortcuts to the most frequently used apps on your homescreen.
The shortcuts can be added to your home screen using 4 widgets of different heights which you can highly customize. You can specify the number of shortcuts that will be placed next to each other and you can specify the number of rows that will be displayed inside your widget. This allows you to add up to 16 app shortcuts to one homescreen row.
The first widget you add contains the shortcuts to your most popular apps, the second will contain the less popular ones etc.
You can also manage your own categories. You can assign a label to a category, specify the apps that belong to this category/label and create a widget containing only the shortcuts for this category. So you can have only the most frequently used apps from a predefined subset in a widget on your homescreen. E.g. you can have a category 'Games' containing 16 games and your widget will only show the 8th most popular ones, the ones you play the most.
Top Shortcuts also detects unused apps for you which you can easily uninstall from within the application.
Initially the application will gather statistics from last ~week but will sum up all statistics it then gathers.

Freeze and force close It is freezing on me and force closing. Can't do anything with it. And can't get a refund either. Money wasted. If developer reads this, please refund me.

Cool App but misses notification numbers Very useful. But if there is any notification like say I get two sms, then the sms icon generally shows it has 2 unread messages. But Top Shortcuts widget doesn't show such icons, instead it shows just the app icon.

So simple... So Awesome I love this app and what it does! Unfortunately for me though, with my new phone HTC Vivid (AT&T), Top Shortcuts just get itself into some sort of crash loop with a message about ask the developer for a refund. No thanks. I will just hold onto it in hopes it gets updated one day and will work on my phone again. If not, it was still money well spent for the time I was able to use it!

I like it, I paid for it, now it needs an update to support qHD resolutions to get rid of the colored line glitch on qHD screens.
