Naught is a minimalistic game, right down to the way in which the main menu is set up. The main menu harbours two settings options, a game intro and an option for starting the game.
The gameplay itself is just as straightforward: you play Naught, a character that must be guided through a labyrinth. Along the way there’s an option for collecting three diamonds. Controls are effected by tilting the device, virtual buttons and swipes across the display. All three navigation options will alter the virtual gravity, so that Naught can effectively float through the air or from wall to wall, depending on the level and your skills.
There are several obstacles to be overcome along the way. For instance: there are lakes and thorns that will cause you to have to start the level all over again if you come into contact with them. Other obstacles include doors that can only be opened using seeds which are to be collected along the way. 10 seeds are required in order to open a door. Check the left top corner of the display to see how many seeds are currently in your possession.
Sometimes you’ll find that the path is too narrow for Naught to get past, in which case you’ll have to navigate Naught’s little companion, the tree spirit, instead.
The game music has the same other-worldly quality to it as the game itself and the audio quality is good.
You can unlock the 40 levels bit by bit as you play. For every five unlocked levels you will be able to enjoy a comic strip that narrates the game’s story and helps you learn about lots of interesting elements related to the game.
Bottom line:
Naught is a very well made and engaging game that strikes us as being quite unique. Thumbs up!

Good art, good idea, imperfect execution Seems to force close every 3-4 levels. I think it would be worth animating the cat while he is falling, too. He looks a bit silly currently :-D

Force closes too much. I bought this game last night for my Droid RAZR M, I can open the game to the menu and select a level. That's about it though, anything past that and the game force closes on me. When the game does decide to work enough for me to play; If I pause it it force closes, if I turn the phone too fast it force closes. If they could fix this problem, that would be great. Though, I'm kind of wishing I could get my $1 back, seems wasteful to have spent it on a game I cannot even play. I'm giving the app. a 1 star rating since I can barely even run it.

Very good I really liked this game on my old Motorola and now the nexus 4's large screen makes it amazing. The comic included is neat too.

Love it. Probably one of my top favorites. Love the graphics and b.ground music. One question though: is the character in the game dead?
