In review of the comments, the Personal Exemptions and Standard Deductions are the same as the IRS says. Please ensure you are looking at the correct year. The app contains tax information for years 2011-2013.
If you are having trouble using the "Slider" for exact numbers, you can tap the input box above the slider to manually input numbers using the keyboard.
