Fast and Efficient Dispatch
Pushing the "Call for a Tow" button connects you to one of BoatUS’s 24/7 Dispatch Centers who will know where you are based on your phone’s GPS. If you are a Member, they will also know who you are, what boat you’re most likely on, and what towing level you have. For Members who choose to buy Unlimited or Unlimited Gold Towing, BoatUS will pay the bill so you don’t have to!
Mobile Membership
BoatUS Members can select the “Digital Member Card” option and an image of your Membership card will be displayed, showing your name, Member number, expiration date, and towing levels. By having the card right on your phone, it is easy to get discounts at marinas and boating businesses!
Map it Out
At the top of your BoatUS Towing App, you will see your nautical Latitude and Longitude displayed. The app’s GPS function still works even when out of cell phone range. When in cell phone range, you can view your location on Google Maps. These features make it easy to relay your location over your phone or VHF radio in times of need!
Get Social
Other features include the ability to share your location with friends and family. Sharing your location is helpful when trying to meet up with friends, share a good fishing spot, or advise friends of potential navigational hazards. You can also stay up-to-date with the latest BoatUS news by accessing BoatUS Press Releases from the app.

This app requires some permissions to run:
- Call Phone Numbers: Allows the app to place a call to BoatUS ONLY when you press the button in the app.
- Send SMS Messages: Allows the app to send your location to your friends and family when you choose to do so.
- Location: Allows the app to display your location on a map and provide a readout of your GPS coordinates.
- Read Contact Data: Allows you to pick one of your phone contacts as an emergency contact.
- Read Phone State: Allows the app to alert you if you are out of data range.

Hard to use Works as a beta test. Looked up my member number, wrote it down, typed it in again and again and called member services. Wait for version 2 before you depend on this.

Last Update Since last update! App doesn't recognize my membership #, zip code, or name. Says dont hav a member with this information.

SD card, please! Great app, solid 4+ if it could love on my SD card. Love the ability to send my location to my fishing buddies and an extra layer of safety is always a plus.

GREAT BOATING TOOL!!! Love being able to text my location when I am on the water so easily. Also have comfort feeling that BoatUS will know where I am if I call for a tow!

Great app! Pretty useful app. Can't wait to try it out on the water in a few months. As for the phone calls, it's not making secret phone calls, it only calls when you press the call for a tow button.

Looks good! The test will be on the water in a couple of months. Next release should enable use of BOAT/US directory to find cheapest fuel, transient services and West Marine stores!
