Super powerful opponent Simply awesome! As good or on par with shredder, having a pocket grandmaster for under $8 bucks is simply insane.

Excellent Chess Program Have been using this app since June 2011 when I loaded it onto my new Sprint Droid XPRT. Possibly one of the first new apps I installed. Works very well and have had no bug problems. Wonderful to play with when stuck somewhere waiting for a bus or plane or whatever. I looked at -several- other chess programs first -- this one was clearly the best.

Very Good but could be better... The graphics are NOT HD like Shredder but unlike Shredder it does support landscape mode for tablet which is important to me! It would be perfect if it had HD graphics, supported pgn variations and annotations. All in all, one of my favorite chess apps but there is room for improvement. Also CTG opening book support would be a great...

Strange installation location Plays good chess. I miss some of the old Palm features like playing someone over Bluetooth. Don't understand why it installs to app-private tho.

Don't buy Don't know why so many people rate this app, shredder is so much better and more versatile. Waste of money.

The tradition of ChessGenius continues I've had ChessGenius on numerous platforms and now on Android too. It's a good chess partner and compared to Shredder I like that it displays the name of the opening.

Really like this one An excellent chess game. Has never crashed or faulted. Love the playstyle.
