Calendar widget that uses text files in remind format.Supports different colours. The next 4 appointments are shown in the widget. Calendar entries must be in the following format:
REM date AT time DURATION hours MSG appointment
eg:
REM 25 August 2013 AT 10:40 DURATION 1:30 MSG Meeting with Bob
Reminders are saved in a text file on the sd card of your phone as 'reminders.txt'
colours can be specified by putting the name of the colour anywhere in the MSG.
Currently supported colours include: Red, Green, Green2, Blue, Purple and Yellow.
I made this widget for personal use, because my connection to my google calendar is patchy at best in China and I wanted an offline solution. I found Roaring Penguin's amazing remind calendar and started using wxRemind on my desktop. I tried Wyrd as a frontend as well, but had problems with the output and Chinese characters.
This application is quite limited in its support of remind, but is able to display basic appointments if they're in the format above.
This widget will also look in the Ubuntu One folder on your SD Card and if there is a file called reminders.txt there, it will load it into your calendar.
