Why are there so many apps called "100 something-or-other"? They strike me as being rather similar in the sense that they’re simple games that are nonetheless very challenging.
You may have realised by now that I’m really into puzzle games, especially the ones that present a real challenge.
As the app’s name indicates, 100 levels are in the works for this app—a major undertaking considering how thorough and well-thought out this application is. I’ve even heard talk of 200 levels being in the pipeline, so let’s sit back and see what happens next.
In every level you stand before a closed door. The goal is to collect items and then use them when the situation calls for it (it may very well be that you find an item which can only be used several levels later). Solve the puzzle by clicking on the façade as well as other objects surrounding the door.
I was especially impressed by how the game really makes use of smartphone technology: for instance, you can tilt your phone in order to get a ball rolling (literally). I find the game’s controls and overall set-up to by individual and out of the ordinary.
I should warn you that the game gets to be very challenging the more your progress. Luckily, there’s an option to solve/skip levels should you get stuck with solving the puzzle.
Bottom line:
100 Doors 2013 is a very well made game with lots of levels and great controls that take full advantage of smartphone technology. Very cool!
