Description
Voice without Minutes!GrooVe IP is an android app that connects to Google Voice using Voice over IP (VoIP). What this means for you is you can make free unlimited calls to any phone in the US or Canada without using your voice minutes. GrooVe IP works on any android device, phone or tablet, and allows you to make calls using the device’s data (WiFi or mobile data) connection. If you have a smartphone with Wi-Fi connectivity but no mobile plan, you can use this app to convert it to a free, full-featured working phone.
This app has a separate dialer that can be used to make calls. Alternatively, the native dialer, call-log, contacts, and favorite functionality can be shared between the phone and app on a call-by-call basis.
** NOTE ** Please ensure that your Google Voice account is associated with either a gmail or google apps account.
** NOTE ** To receive incoming calls you MUST go into your Google Voice account and forward calls to Google Chat.
** NOTE ** GrooVe IP uses 1.2 MB per minute during a call

GREAT I installed the lite version first and noticed that lite version doesn't work with 3G/4G. I purchased it yesterday and works fine most of the time. There is the times it doesn't connect at all over the phone data (3G/4G). When I dial the number, message showing "connecting" and never connects. I need to turn my phone off and turn it back on. And works fine. I just wish the call quality is a little bit better than current one. Worth paying $4.99. I will give 5 stars if call quality will be better and better connection. Thanks.

Very Good app + Great Support! I'm happy with the app, I can use my phone at home where cell service isn't very good. I suggested a feature to allow automated call into conference call, and they got it ready in the same day! Thank you!

Not bad It lags alot but hey, its unlimited calling. You can't beat that.

Great app, have used it for over 6 months. HOWEVER ONLY GIVING 4 STARS, BECAUSE THE MUTE BUTTON MUST BE MOVED/DELETED! TOUCHSCREEN AUTO-MUTES CALLS!!!

Poor audio quality Need improvements. I get lot of static while making calls through wifi or 4G.

It works pretty good. I just updated 4-20-12 and now the audio works correctly through Bluetooth. This works pretty well and I have made many calls on it. 85% of my calls have very good quality. Occasionally the person on the other side has complained they couldn't hear me clearly. I think part of this was due to the internet connection and not the application. But now that the Bluetooth is working I expect this app will be much more useful on my tablet. The build in mic was not that good but my bluetooth mic is good enough now so long as the internet is strong.

Gnex LTE Seems only to work if sitting in one place... almost useless if you get a call while in a car. Just got new nexus... and was hoping it would be good but most calls are gritty and noisy. Some calls are perfect tho too...

Reliable, amzing software 1. VOIP really isn't all that. 2. Basic hard/firmware on newer phones can be really cheap. 3. I thibk the developer is too busy replying to email to offer updates, er hem, he's excellent at that.
