The only reason of this is that DeviantArt does not provide the official way of management of your account from mobile applications.

Can't select anything other than Newest works. When you try to click popular, you always click an add. Cannot disable adds either.

pretty cool, but has room to improve the app's cool, but can improve such as being able to click on links on the page. I couldn't click on them and would have loved to
