JABtalk is a free speech communication application designed to help non-verbal children and adults communicate. Speech therapists commonly refer to JABtalk as an easy and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. By combining personalized voice and images with an extremely simple user interface, JABtalk delivers a speech solution that is both fun to use and easy to learn. Originally designed as a communication tool for children with special needs, JABtalk has evolved into a communication tool used by special needs children, stroke patients, toddlers, speech-language pathologists, and others.Some of JABtalk features include:

If you are using JABtalk as an AAC device for an individual with special needs (down syndrome, autism, etc...), we strongly recommend having the individual assessed by a speech-language pathologist to ensure JABtalk is the most appropriate solution for the the individual's needs.

Easy and effective Did more in a day with this than months with Proloque2go on an ipad. Much easier for parents and therapists to set up. At least as easy for kiddos to use.

Phantastic app! Unbelievable that this phantastic app can be downloaded for free! It is very easy to use and almost self-explaining to prepare for your child (fill in categories and words). To make preparations more comfortable it would be great if the "move" and "copy" functions could be improved (move a word anywhere you want within a list by just holding and moving it). Moreover, we are looking forward to the sentence-building function to come! With pleasure we would pay for a new version with these features! Good app Good app, does what it needs to do. Programme starts as a blank slate. And needs to build it up from scratch. Would prefer at least a basic set of buttons. Apart from thats, its a good equivalent to some of the apps for the ipads

Amazing I am astounded that this app is free. It works perfectly on my asus transformer prime and has really helped my autistic 5 year old communicate more effectively. She prefers this app over the PECS system. I wish I could give this developer a hug in thanks.

Jabtalk Great program. Works fantastic for grandson that can't talk. Price is great!
