Allows an application to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the application to slow down overall performance of the phone by constantly running.

Allows an application to prevent the phone from going to sleep.

Allows the application to control the vibrator.

send SMS messages
Allows application to send SMS messages. Malicious applications may cost you money by sending messages without your confirmation.

Any solutions for why it cuts out? Is it my Android or is it the app that makes it stop so often? It's gotten so bad that I'm listening to my last show right now and might come back and try it again in a few months. I really want to listen to this show and it's cut out at least 10 times in 10 minutes. Edit: It barely makes it through 30 seconds without buffering. 10 seconds often. I made it through the short segment I wanted to listen to, and now I'm deleting the app. This seems to happen with another radio app I have and NPR, so it would be helpful if there was a solution if it's Android's fault. I googled it and couldn't find anything.

Stalls Like the content, but the app stalls every time I use it after only ten minutes. I have to quit out and restart. Which means you have to wait for a slow load and all the promo crap all over again, missing the one thing you wanted to hear!

OK not what I was after A nice simple and reliable app for streaming PBS. There's no option to download &play as a file. My DROIDX gets hot and runs the battery. I'm moving on.

Not with it The concept is great and it is good when the streaming does work. If you want a great npr app Michigan radio app is awesome. KUOW could learn something. Use tune in radio until they update this app

Unreliable Lost stream early and often while Tune-In Radio works fine on same device and connection. Frustrating.
