It's ideal for parties, lazy days or if you have a media center tucked away in a closet.
(It requires the installation of the Spotimote server on your PC. Get it for free from http://www.evolu-on.com)
Features:
- Control what's playing now: play/pause, next/previous track, Spotify/PC sound volume, shuffle, repeat, track pos
- Search for tracks, artists, albums
- Access your playlists, selection, downloads, library, personal music, inbox...
- Control the play queue

- Add tracks to playlists (Spotify premium users)
- Manage your favorites (tracks, albums, artists, playlists...)

The playlists access is restricted to Spotify premium users due to the Spotify policy. However, Spotimote is able to extract playlists and put them in the favorites automatically if you are an unlimited or free user.
If you have any trouble using spotimote, please send me an e-mail or leave a message on the forum (http://www.evolu-on.com/forum).
Spotimote communicates with the Spotimote server component over Wifi. The connection is automatic, you don't have to specify an address or anything.
After the installation of the Spotimote server component, when you launch it for the first time, you may be prompted by the Windows Firewall. You have to authorize the server component to access the network or it won't be able to communicate with your android device.
About the permissions, the "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY" permission is required to let spotimote automatically pause the music when an incoming call is received on the phone.
If you don't like the interface, if you would like features to be added, send me an e-mail, or post on the forum (http://www.evolu-on.com/forum). Leaving a bad comment makes me sad, helping me to make Spotimote better makes me happy.
This product uses a SPOTIFY API but is not endorsed, certified or otherwise approved in any way by Spotify. Spotify is the registered trade mark of the Spotify Group.

It just works This app just works as it should. I was going to rate it 4 because it looks kind of ugly. But who cares! It freaking works.

Almost 100% Everything seems to work great except two things. 1) Radio doesn't seem to work. I watch it attempt to engage but nothing happens. 2) Cannot access own music under personal. Just shows blank. Not a huge deal considering this is for Spotify but thats the only thing holding me back from buying the paid version.

Works not very often Great app when it works, which unfortunately isn't that often. Doesn't find the server, looses connection.

Good thing there is a free version A butchers approach to programming makes this a random experience. Not sure if the spotify update broke it, but most functions related to playlists and search are haphazard at best and works _sometimes_
