DescriptionRecord my swim is a simple to use app that allows you to record your daily routine swimming workouts.
As well as logs you can set yourself swimming goals in the form of virtual challenges, e.g. Swim Mount Everest or around Central Park New York.
If you login through Facebook you can also challenge your friends to beat your times.
The app allows you to track progress through a variety of graphs that map average time, calories, speed and distance.
The app is designed to appeal to different swimmers based on what type of exercise you do. There is a training category where you can log the number of lengths and distance of the pool with your time. This is designed to appeal to someone in general training or a recreational swimmer.
For swimmers focussed on professional championships there is a distance category where you can record all the times of your swims for the Olympic and National competition standard distances. All event distances for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and medley are all covered.
For the very brave open water swimmers there is a third category where if you can estimate your distance you simply need to add the primary stroke and time.
If you train with a coach there is a stop watch feature that allows your coach to record your time automatically and enter your distance and stroke straight into the app.
After each entry calories are calculated and progress shown through a variety of graphs. The app acts as a calorie counter for all your swimming activity. In order to get more accurate measures of calories you need to add full detail to your profile such as gender, age and most importantly weight.
You can see the last 10 swims you have made in an editable logger or tracker view.
You can also view the graphs and activity of the whole swimming community to see average times and distances in different countries around the world.
The app allows you to record and track times in different measurement units – you can switch between yards and meters, depending on your pool measurement or what you are familiar with.
If you have any constructive feedback please contact us as this is only the first stage of investing in a free app for the swimming the community, we hope to grow and extend its usefulness over the coming year.
