Description
Shuttle FTP is a lite ftp server running on your android device. When it is connected to intranet (local network) through WIFI, you can operate your mobile files from desktop PC without cable.website: http://www.leisss.com/

[Design]
1. Activate the server and operate files from PC is the most important feature for this sort of tool, so we put one and only one button on the screen to activate/deactivate the server.
2. We intentionally drop of SSL, MOD, etc. odd FTP features, basically this is a LITE tool, it should be effective and simple. Those features no body will expect from this little tool.
3. We hide other second-important features to the menu, for example monitor file chagnes, setting thing.
[Usage]
1. Connect mobile to WIFI network
2. Open Shuttle FTP, touch the magic ball, turn it to green.
3. Use hinted address, such as "ftp://192.168.1.100:21" to access your mobile.
[Feature]
1. View linked WIFI signal to avoid linking wrong network.
2. Click "ssid" to change the network easily.
2. Supports user and password
3. Supports chaning FTP root
4. Count number & size of upload/download files
[Tips]
1. When communicate with Windows Vista above, avoid using port 21, system firewall may screen this port off.
2. Change the ftp root in setting menu, if you need.

Limmited access I can only access the server on anonymous user and it doesn't let me set the root filesystem to anywhere I would be able to access my external SD card.

Needs server running indication. Other than a missing "Running Server"-indication, like in the notification bar, this app is great. After several non-working apps (something strange is causing issues between my computer and my phone), this one finally worked like it should!.

Simply works. But lacks a notification icon. I've tried several other FTP servers and Shuttle FTP was the easiest to configure and get up and running. Not sure if this was specific to my phone, but I had to restart the OS before the FTP server would run correctly. A previous reviewer stated there is not an option to choose the default directory; the updated version does indeed allow for selection of a default directory. FTP transfer speeds are quite fast and will run in the background, even if the phone screen is turned off. For reference, I just backed up my entire sdcard (1450+ files, 3.3GB) in just under 30 minutes. One major issue right now is the lack of a notification icon in the notification bar that the FTP server is running. Once this feature is added, will definitely be a 5-star review.

Server works in background. To change SD card folder use /sdcard/media - note that there is no trailing / I get up to 900 KB/s transfer rate. DroidX
