Compared to the free game, "Pirates and Traders: Gold!" is ad-free, adds 1 new starting background (buccaneer), and adds 5 additional starting ships (pinnace, coastal barque, fluyt).

NEEDS VAST IMPROVEMENT! I have had this game for over a year and upgrades are not significant so I vote 1* until the developer improves the game. 1. Add more islands 2. Add bigger ships with massive cargo holds 3. Allow multiple ship purchase so we can build fleets 4. Remove the obtuse loosing cargo space to upgrade ship 5. Bring back natives I will add 1* for each point of the above undertook.

Needs improvement The updates to the interface haven't made it any better. Fixing the interface and maybe adding more places, or having them do more (maybe the countries could attack each other making the cities change like the french or spanish randomly taking a british territory) and adding the ability to have a fleet would definitly improve this game. Its still tons of fun and well worth buying though.

Great game (New) I gave the latter part of this review months ago and still stand by it. I just wanted to add to it that this game just seems to get better and better. (Earlier) Just wanted to say that this is a great game. Whenever my wife sees me playing on my phone she always guesses correctly that I'm playing "the pirate game". It reminds me of a game called china sea traders that I use to play when I was younger. So just wanted to say thank you for a great game and for constantly finding new ways to improve it.
