Description
Requirements: Android 2.1+ | Root permissionsCalibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file. The OS generates a new clean batterystats file soon, thus any fake information from the previous ROM is removed.
It's suggested, but not necessary, to let the phone fully discharge after calibration, then charged to 100% without break.
The app shows your actual battery status, and only allows you to start the calibration (i.e. removes the file) when it's fully charged, unless you force earlier calibration.
The voltage meter can be useful too. Full charge is around 4200mV.
There is an option to beep when 100% is reached so you don't have to closley follow the changes.

Snake oil, as per Google's Android team This app and those like it are based on gross misinformation. The fact is that deleting batterystats.bin will have no bearing on battery life. The file being wiped is merely a list of apps that have consumed battery since last charge and is wiped by Android when unplugging the phone after a full charge. Furthermore, contrary to this app's description, the file is overwritten with an empty bin upon installation of the new rom's system.

NOT WORTH THE TIME This App requires you to ROOT your phone which will void your warranty and you will probably lose all data, Contacts, pictures. etc etc. I had problem with this app and emailed the appropriate person who was NO HELP AT ALL! IGNORE THE 5star RATINGS THEYRE FAKE!!!

DOES NOT CHANGE BATTERY LIFE Your battery will NOT last any longer than it did before. It will however, decrease at a more linear rate. No longer will most of your battery life be in the last 20% of the reported charge. All this app does is the change how android REPORTS the battery life. Your total mAh/mWh will stay the same.

Great, but doesn't extend battery life This app will NOT extend battery life, just how it gets reported by Android. You must fully discharge battery for accurate values! Don't listen to people claiming it extends battery life, it doesn't! It just makes it so that your battery doesn't go from 100% to 20% in 1 minute and then 20% to 19% in 5 hours.
