The application has access to the following:
Network communication
full Internet access
Allows an application to create network sockets.
view network state
Allows an application to view the state of all networks.
Phone calls
read phone state and identity
Allows the application to access the phone features of the device. An application with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to, ect.
Your location
coarse (network-based) location
Access coarse location sources such as the cellular network database to determine an approximate phone location, where available. Malicious applications can use this to determine approximately where you are.
Storage
modify/delete SD card contents
Allows an application to write to the SD card.
System tools
automatically start at boot
Allows an application to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the application to slow down overall performance of the phone by constantly running.
prevent phone from sleeping
Allows an application to prevent the phone from going to sleep.
Hardware controls
control vibrator
Allows the application to control the vibrator.

Alright Love it for the articles. But we STILL CAN'T comment on articles through the app. We can on Engadget. Force closes too often on the GNex. News articles are a few hours behind the actual web page. I gave up on this app.

OMG...Worst Android Site EVER. This app SUCKZ MONKEY BALLZ. Android life hasnt been updated in 39 freaking days? Really? Phandroid is so much better. The app itself needs a HUGE UI OVERHAUL. Zero stars if that was a option.

Great app but still force closing I have been using this app for a long time but ever since I got Ice Cream Sandwich on my phones the app constantly force closes. Even after the most recent update that was supposed to fix the force closing issue.

Worst interface ever. Please just follow Phandroid's app interface....please! Has problems loading some articles and it restarts app automatically. When retrying an article a 2nd time it opens. DESP needs new interface!

Ugh Had this app for a couple years now praying it would get better. Constant force closes, connection issues and you can't even view or leave comments through it. For a news site that's so popular you would think they would gotten this together by now. For shame!
