Description
Apoc12 combines the adventures and strategy of an RPG with a tile-based Google Maps world. It is a single player apocalypse themed game combining the character specialization and mission objectives of a real Role Playing Game with the civilization sprawl of a tile based game. Think 2D Fallout mixed with a little Civ3. You can specialize your character with unique weapons, vehicles, clothing, consumables, perks and traits as you level up. Battle hostile cults, gangs, mobs and ambushers in vehicles, buildings and settlements. Build your settlement influence by creating alliances with trade settlements, farming communities, small towns, real world cities and real world military installations. The map mechanism uses Google Maps so you can play the game using your real world location (GPS or Network) or switch to simulated mode which uses movement points to navigate the map. Your location is never sent to us or any other user of the game.
Features:
+ Engaging storyline based on rebuilding a society after the apocalypse.
+ Over 200 missions with varying levels of complexity and rewards.
+ Interact with friendly NPCs with conversations, buying or selling items, accepting missions and mission related actions.
+ Character specialization with perks gained through leveling and traits gained automatically based on your game play.
+ Gain access to unique weapons vehicles and clothing as you level your character up.
+ Customize weapons, vehicles and clothing with upgrades.
+ Build alliances with AI trade settlements, farming communities, small towns, real world cities and real world military installations. (Version 1.0 has real world city markers and military installation markers currently only in U.S. borders.)
+ Convert hostile settlements to militia installations to expand your settlement influence.
+ Build tile improvements to provide safe passage between settlements.
+ Switch between real world mode (GPS, Network) and simulated mode (movement points) to move around the map.
Note: No in-game purchases at all. When you buy the game, that's all you spend. There are no special points that you have to buy to progress further through the game or gain access to special equipment.
Note about Data Usage and Location Modes:
The game uses Google Maps to provide a background. If you choose to play the game in Simulated Mode, then the game turns off your real world location tracking (which uses more data), thus lowering the data usage to just the Google Map imaging. You can play the entire game in Simulated Mode if you wish. Your real world location is only tracked if you are in Real World Mode and the game only stores that data on the device. It is never sent to us or any other user.

Excellent Game! Probably one of the best games I've played on android, and its dirt cheap too. Check it out!

Great game! Love it. Very deep and engaging gameplay. For the price its shockingly well made. Definately get it if you enjoy Rpg games that dont hold your hand and offer immersion that you just dont see any more in games like this! Brilliant.

Fun game with some flaws Really fun game that's let down by bad interface. Best played on tablets as playing on phone will need you to scroll down a lot to do the most minor tasks.

Great game for passing the time... Agree with Thomas, it would be great to be able to save clothing setups. Half the time I forgot to switch out of my scrubs into militia gear and wonder why I got my butt kicked! Hopefully in the next update you can fix this bug for the "Boost a Car" missions, if you repair the vehicle before speaking to Rafe you can't collect your reward since the game still thinks the vehicle is busted! Also wouldn't mind if you have the option of saving games in slot, had this been available I could restore a game so I could avoid the above. Other than that fantastic game for under a buck!!!

Great game I like the game a lot only thing is that i feel like there could be more shortcuts to access menu options. Like instead of putting on each article of clothing at one time make a option to have saved whole outfits.

Amazing Got this on a whim (second app I've ever bought) - and its fantastic. More complex than most android games and certainly the best rpg I've seen on here. A few minor issues (the buttons are too...padded? So sometimes its annoyingly long to scroll down, and some screens seem unnecessary, e.g separate question and answer screens for npc convos) but still a polished game.

Excellent Game! As said elsewhere, if you like a turn based fallout-like experience, this is it. All that I'd like so far is more options for how your character looks. Otherwise, I've happily spent hours on this and Im pretty sure Im still in the intro stage of the game.

Immersive This game has a fantastic storyline, paired with deep and well thought out game mechanics. The google maps function is great, I love that it adds a real world element and its exciting to play the game in different real world areas!

Great game. With a more efficient UI and some optimization (the game slows down the longer i play a session, and ultimately reboots) this could rival Star Traders and similar games.
