Good handwriting rec BUT. But 1. it needs a way to switch between writing and standard keyboard quickly. Having to change keyboards is 9 clicks and swipes each time. 2. The note app needs hand writing input even if a keyboard is my usual default. Great 99 cent app. But I personally need the keyboard 90% of the time and wanted a handwriting recognition note app. This is not a handwriting note taker. This is a good handwriting keyboard.

Outstanding Handwriting Recognition The 7notes app doesn't seem like anything special, but the Mazek handwriting entry method is superb, comparing very well to pen input in Windows despite running easily on a phone. It can be made the default input method, and that's exactly what I've done. I write everything on my phone by hand now. I find it as fast as and more comfortable than Swype. Just one small bug: It sometimes vanishes from the list of available input methods. Re-enabling it fixes that though. I can see ways it could be improved. As others have mentioned, I'd really like a "strike-out gesture". It's such a common feature of handwriting recognition systems it's hard to break the habit! It would be nice too if there were an easier way to mix numerals and letters, and I would like to be able to adjust the size of the entry area as I need a lot less space than it takes up. But overall it's an excellently well thought-ought app, infinitely better than the handwriting recognition that Samsung includes. It works best with a stylus or digitizer pen of course, but it's still perfectly usable with just a finger.

A Quantum Leap This is the first ever review I've written for an app but 7 Note is just so good that I felt compelled to do so. Especially on my Toshiba tablet but also on Galaxy Note works extraordinarily well. I'm a writer and using a stylus, I can handwrite at almost normal speed and have my scribble convert to text. What's really good is that you can use 7Note as your preferred input in any application. The only improvement I can suggest is to the guide - Just playing with the app, I've discovered techniques which don't get a mention in it. Thanks from a two finger typist!

Whilst scanning the xda forums i stumbled across this app. Lots of good things were being said about it so I thought I'd check it out. I'm glad I did because this is fantastic! Absolutely worth five stars and the small amount of money for the purchase. And yes, I am "writing" this review with my cheap, new stylus :-)

Amazing. Best handwriting recognition I've seen so far. I wasn't expecting much from such a cheap app, but after pairing it with a metal mesh / weave stylus I am able to write at speeds close to paper and pen. The quality of the output can only improve with experience and with additions to the user dictionary. Being able to use this within most apps is brilliant too. I paid less than £1 for this application. WritePad costs almost £10 and is rubbish by comparison.

NEEDS a button for switching input method Works great except once you switch into this input mode there is no way to switch back out without going into my settings (on Nexus 7). I need to be able to quickly switch between this and the stock keyboard as the keyboard this comes with is pretty worthless. 2 stars because it does work, but I really can't use it until this is added. Android keyboard lets you long press the spacebar to bring up input methods - please add something like this.
