If I had a penny for every time I've been asked about whether an Android device has such-and-such a function and if so how does such-and-such function work... These types of questions usually lead to long winded explanations, and finding accurate answers can often be tricky because even an Android geek such as myself won't know every single device like the back of my hand.

In such situations applications such as TeamViewer QuickSupport that enable remote control can prove to be useful. The app also lets users run Whatsapp from the comfort of their computers.

Let me start with a disclaimer: TeamViewer QuickSupport is suitable only for select Samsung devices. This no doubt comes down to technical reasons; Samsung must have made changes to the Android code to enable an app such as TeamViewer QuickSupport to run.

In order to use the app you will need the Free TeamViewer Download for Windows, Mac and Linux or, alternatively, the TeamViewer for Remote Control app for iPhone. Once you've downloaded and installed one/some of the above you're good to go!

Start up the app and a code pops up which you either tap or send directly. Enter the code in the TeamViewer Download in order to establish the connection; the device which you wish to remote control will then have to be confirmed. Once you've confirmed it the connection is established.

You can then enter stuff using the mouse or else the keyboard (for texts).

The app does what it's meant to, unlike many other apps of this genre that require root permissions. I use the app for communicating via Whatsapp.
Please bear in mind that the battery power will be affected by this (the exact amount of power depends on the device). The Samsung Galaxy S3 heated up a fair bit which indicates a high demand on battery power.

Bottom line:

I'm totally satisfied with TeamViewer QuickSupport. I'd been waiting for a remote control solution that was both intuitive to use and sturdy in its performance—and free to boot! 

TeamViewer QuickSupport controls are very simple and do not require any configuration. The UI consists of an ID that you have to enter to into the remote control programme.

The menu harbours a few help options for when users experience certain problems (which didn't arise during our test runs).

This isn't the first remote control app made by TeamViewer; on the contrary, this developer has a sound reputation for producing reliable programmes of this sort. 

TeamViewer QuickSupport runs well when you compare it to alternatives that are based on the VNC protocol and require root permissions. The app is stabile and did not crash.

The app's speed, however, is not sufficient if you want to play games and even texts load slowly. Again, this boils down to technical limitations.

TeamViewer QuickSupport and Free TeamViewer Download are free for users, unless you intend to use it for commercial purposes, in which case a license is required. That's more than fair and we're awarding the app full points in this category!
