While Carrier IQ is said to be designed to help measure performance and user experience, it does not provide an opt-out mechanism for consumers.. The company recently came under fire from security researchers and privacy advocates not just for the data gathered, but also its lack of transparency in the use of such information. Complete removal of Carrier IQ requires special access privileges and technical knowledge. Side effects of failed self-modification may include compromised security and the inability to receive future firmware updates. I'm CLEAN! So this CarrierIQ stuff, didn't USSR do that stuff? I mean spying on us is still spying right? Thank you for helping 2 expose them! Phones made in China+spying...coincidence? HTC Evo Design 4G is Clean.
