Description
Compass VO - a neat compass for your Orientation skills.Main features:
- Uses internal magnetic field and accelerometer sensor combined with gps and wireless networks to offer accurate information.
- Take photo of your map (or a photo in your library) and use it in the background to have the map on your sight all the time. Manipulate it as you wish: zoom, pinch, rotate, everything is at your finger. Whenever you start the application, the background map remains as you left it.
- Multiple themes for each user's taste, maybe you like a light theme, or maybe a darker one... or why not the special Green robot theme.
- Easy and intuitive to use.
- Compass dial for target bearing and orienteering.
- Use the popular 1,2,3 compass system along with this digital compass the same as a real compass.
- No ads, no pop-ups, no interruptions.
We tried to keep permissions as few as possible. As you will see no suspect permissions like
access your personal data or internet conection. So the ones that are needed are as follows:
- Camera: used only on your request, with preview in order to take a photo of a map
- Access fine location: used to calculate the Geographic North and offer Magnetic declination.
- Wake lock: used to keep the screen on all the time. This is an option in Settings, but keep in mind that it uses a lot of battery.

Fantastic use of phone features This is just brilliant, it works superb, you could literally navigate maps and landscape with it.

Just needs mils A great compass. An option to change to mils instead of degrees would be very useful. Thank you. Alan.

Great for my adventures A different type of compass that stands out of the crowd. Backgroud maps, multiple themes, great graphics makes it the perfect tool for orienteering, hiking, running and enjoying outdoor activities. I strongly recommend it.

Wow Finally an app that suits my needs, having my own real map as background is a fantastic feature. Would have given it 10 stars if possible.
