Description
Handwriting note-taking app for Android tablets. A key design goal is quick response to pen strokes and 100% vector graphics. Developed on a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet and Galaxy Note 10.1".Features:
* Active pen (digitizer) support on ThinkPad Tablet, HTC Jetstream and HTC Flyer, Samsung Galaxy Note.
* Very fast response to pen strokes.
* "Fountain pen" mode supports pen pressure data, more pressure = thicker line (requires active pen)
* Pinch-to-zoom.
* Double-finger tap to zoom.
* Two-finger move gesture.
* Pen strokes are vector art, zoom does not pixelate your writing.
* "Pen only" mode (optional) disables touch input while writing.
* Android hardware accelerated graphics.
* Open source (GPL), so your notes are not stuck in an opaque file format.
* PDF export (save to SD card, Evernote, Share).
* PNG (raster image) export.
* Can backup/restore your data.
* Ruled/Quad background paper
* Tagging for pages so you can group them together.
* Switch between multiple notebooks.
* Undo/redo.
The n-trig active pen has been tested on the ThinkPad Tablet, HTC Jetstream, and the HTC Flyer. The Samsung S-pen has been tested on the Galaxy Note devices. The basic functionality should work on any Android tablet, but distinguishing pen from finger data and pressure sensitivity might not work on others. Please let me know your results if you try it on another tablet. See also http://code.google.com/p/android-quill/wiki/SupportedDevices

Pretty good. A few things are keeping it at 4 stars instead of 5. First, the back button won't exit the app. When viewing the page, it switches to viewing the pages of the book. Pressing back again returns you to the last page. Next, the button on the pen used to toggle the eraser when I pressed down while drawing, however it suddenly stopped.

Great, but... One of the best free hand note taking apps on the market. I would rate 5 stars if it wasn't missing essential tools. Basic functions such as area selection, copy/paste do not exist and severely limit utility.

Best notepad app I was looking for something to take notes on my Nexus 7 when in work meetings and came across Quill. Incredibly smooth, easy to use and does exactly what you need it to. The fact it integrates into Ever note is amazing. Best app purchase I've made.

Best in class One of the best pen tools available. The pen recognition and sensitivity in Quill is actually better than more expensive graphics packages, like Sketchbook Pro. Autodesk could learn some things from this developer. The built-in Evernote integration is excellent and makes Quill an excellent and extremely useful sketchbook, note-taking and general doodling application. A must-buy!

Good but with limitations This app does exactly what it says it will do. Two problems I have though. In left handed mode, the palm shield is at the top of the screen - why? Its the only way to move the menu button so I am not constantly tapping it, but then the palm shield becomes totally useless. Also, my tablet is rooted, but the feature to remove the system bar does not function. Fix these two issues, and this would be a killer app.

Best sketch app so far Fantastic sketch app for my HTC flyer especially for the accuracy and level of sensitivity it brings to the Flyer's pen. In my opinion this makes it a better choice than supposedly more "pro" apps like Autodesk SketchBook. PS. To make the app even more fantastic, please add buttons support for the HTC Flyer pen, ability to add layers and a lasso tool. Thank you

Replaced my notebooks I am a computer engineering undergrad and this app has allowed me to go almost entirely paperless. Well worth the money!
