The Pack & Go function allows you to simply download articles and read them online later, even if you have no access to a mobile network or WiFi - for instance while on a plane.
The type size is adjustable.
A feature at the top of the Home screen offers two different ways of viewing the site:

Classic: the full headlines and teasers - just like you know it from SPIEGEL ONLINE on the Web.

Pack and go never works, loads articles too slowly.. sadly good opportunity for a great app has been missed as journalistic content is great. SG1-2.1

Noch schlechter Die App. ist schlechter geworden als beim letzten Test. Hat absolut keinen Mehrwert, schlechter als die Webseite per Brauser zu lesen.

English. Why is your app description in English if you don't offer it in the app? You offer English on your website but not here? That doesn't even make sense.

Gut, aber ... ... kann leider keine Artikel mit Read it later sharen, sondern versucht ein in-App System von schlechterer Qualität zum offline lesen und speichern aufzuzwingen, schade.
