SECURITY NOTE: For your peace of mind we only ask for one special permission from your Android device (Phone calls: Read phone state and identity - READ_PHONE_STATE). This is because we have a setting which allows you to decide whether the tone generator should automatically stop when you receive an incoming call. We do not query the 'identity' of your device - just permission to monitor the 'state' of the device in case of an incoming call. Please do not be concerned as this is by no way a security risk to you. Even if we did inspect the 'identity' of your device we do not have any ability to access the internet / network so could not transmit this information anywhere anyway! This security note was added after we received concerns from a user worried that we appeared to be asking permission to read their identity. Unfortunately the Android operating system (specifically the sandbox within the Dalvik virtual machine) bundle the abilities to query phone state and phone identity in to one combined security permission (ie READ_PHONE_STATE). Hopefully this explanation will help allay fears that potential users might have over this permission being requested.

Needs an option to turn off the audio from key presses, and needs options for different sample rates.

Useful app for the right phones Very useful app however on my LG Optimus V playback tends to stutter on occasion due to the phone having just a 600MHz processor.

Needs an option for a logarithmic type of sweep, but the manual mode comes in handy. Other than that, does what its supposed to do!

Great functionality, but why read phone identity? I don't see any reason this app needs permission to read my phone state and identity. That's pretty disturbing.

Stable sound generator. Plenty enough features and waveforms for me. Not sure I'd trust it for calibration but if you need a generic tone its ideal.
