Description
iris is the acronym for "Intelligent Route Information System" which provides bus travel information to enhance commuters' travel experience with SBS Transit. iris offers two applications to help the commuters better plan their journeys: a) iris NextBus and b) iris Journey Planner.iris Journey Planner helps the commuters plan the best way to get to their destination by providing travel solutions on our buses, LRT and/or NEL, based on the shortest walking distance or shortest travelling time.
iris NextBus offers bus arrival time estimation on a real time basis. Commuters have the convenience of knowing how many minutes away the next bus and the subsequent bus are from their particular bus stop so they do not have to spend unnecessary time waiting at the bus stop.
For this iris application, we are introducing new features for iris NextBus. For instance, for the first time, users will be able to find out the next bus arrival times for all bus services at a bus stop at the same time. Currently, iris users can only find out this information for one service at a time. iris NextBus will also locate bus stops that are nearest to users who are in an unfamiliar area. This new application will also have an in-built alarm to alert users when their next bus is arriving at their bus stops so that they can head out on time and minimise unnecessary waiting time.

Not accurate.. The bus stop near my house is just 2 mins away, but even if i think of going early when iris says 9 mins, I end up running to catch the bus.. And this happens for multiple locations as i need to switch 3 buses to get to work and back another 3... innacurate app..

Please fix Please make this such that keywords can be used, such as Tampines Interchange or Hougang Ave 1. Was satisfied with this, even though my supposed current location is at the other end of the island, cut basic keywords should at least be recognised.

Needs improvement Quite frustrating that interchange timing is not reflected. Would also b good if i can check the buses according to the bus stop number.

Sucks!!! Keep on force close when I launch the app! Please improve the app so that it supports all android phones.

Disappointed Arriving time was never accurate, one time the bus came 6 mins before arrival time said on application.....sometimes 2 mins earlier which is still acceptable

Connection times out The connection times out even when the mobile network is HSPA. iris does not connect in UMTS (3G), but may connect in GPRS mode. In the bookmarks tab, I hope that the bookmarks could be auto-renewed. Like, after opening the tab, the bookmarks all refreshes. And may I know, why isn't there any Circle Line stations? All I see is EWL, NSL and NEL.

Excellent! The app is very fast when I use it with wifi. with 3g, it is slower but still acceptable. Never have I experienced any delays that hindered my travels through bus, and to those who say this app is inaccurate, nobody in this world is able to accurately predict the time when the bus arrives. A great app, highly recommended especially if you frequently use public transport in SG
