Description
Open-source SSH and telnet client with SCP file transfer. Based on original ConnectBot.Feature enhancements:
- background file transfer (SCP protocol)
- character picker dialog (on-screen button and hardware SYM key)
- single line input (on-screen button)
- tap and hold menu (switch to fullscreen mode, change font size)
- save SSH keys as files
- save console screenshots (PNG format)
- new key mappings (hardware keyboard)
- lots of bugfixes
VX ConnectBot provides additional customization for smartphones with a physical keyboard.
Currently, there are customizations for the following smartphones:
- full hardware keyboard (e.g. bluetooth keyboard)
- Samsung Captivate Glide (SGH-i927)
- Sony Ericsson Xperia pro (MK16i)
- Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (SK17i)

Like ConnectBot but better At last, a Tab key on my Galaxy S2, plus the file transfer ability is very handy.

Works great with physical keyboards Yay! I can finally use CTRL, Tab, Esc, etc. like normal with my physical USB keyboard! Thanks!

Great, better than standard connectbot, the tab finally works on my Acer A500 on ICS. Only complaint is it does not seem to work in landscape mode. Well done!

Beats basic ConnectBot with great enhancements for recent physical keyboard sliders. A must for server admins.

Switched from plain vanilla ConnectBot Quite a nice fork of ConnectBot. UI is more polished with very well thought out details resulting in much greater usability, plus a simple but very handy scp feature. The only thing missing for complete SSH bliss is a feature similar to OpenSSH's ProxyCommand

vxconnectbot + hackers keyboard for emacs Been looking for a usable way to connect to a remote server and use emacs. Finally found that vx connectbot + hacker's keyboard allows me to send tabs, and ctrl & alt commands.

Very useful Ssh is the only remote connection that I completely trust, and this implementation is really nice to have. The capability of multiple simultaneous connections is great. Thank you, Mr. Matuska!

Features/Bug You could add more options to long-click menu (ctrl+..., alt+..., arrows - or add as transparent overlay) Swipe to change channels like in irssi would help as well. Bug: connection to local handset disconnects if there are changes to inet connections.
